You have to be trained to sell products in quantities large enough and at prices high enough to attain success.
Price alone is never the buyer’s biggest concern.
Most salespeople believe that the #1 reason why they lose a sale is due to price. This is absolutely NOT the case and, in fact, nothing could be further from the truth! It is at the bottom of the list of reasons why people don’t buy a product. Most sales are lost because the product wasn’t something that the buyer was completely in love with or because there was a lack of confidence in the product.
As a salesperson, make sure you:
1) Know what would motivate the buyer—what problem is the buying trying to solve?
2) Are selling the right product
3) Understand the value of your product—what can the product do for the buyer?
Don’t work to solve price.
Work to solve the customer’s problems. As soon as someone believes that their problems will be solved, they WILL buy!
