How to Accelerate Success

Here’s the simple secret to go from $7 to $280 Million

This is for people who want to not only get success but get it fast.

All highly successful people, all professionals that operate at the top of their fields—the masters—are all consistent.

Great salespeople are consistent, great real-estate people are consistent, great investors are consistent, and great athletes are consistent.

I once asked a golf pro what it would take to fix my golf game and he said all I needed to do was get consistent.

He said with every club I have, get consistent.

Same club, same swing—different club, different swing, it doesn’t matter just be consistent.

The masters do the same things over and over and over again.

The Rock knows what I’m talking about:

Success isn’t always about greatness. It’s about consistency.” —The Rock

Do you know one thing that’s consistent in life?

Rent.

The idea that “rent is due” goes beyond just money—every day you have “rent due” if you want to maintain your health by eating right and exercising, maintain a relationship by putting forth energy and effort, or maintain and grow your success in life.

Cardone U

Long before Dwayne Johnson was blowing up on the big screen in Fast and Furious, he was evicted.

He was 14 years-old living in Hawaii at the time with his mom who was cleaning hotel rooms, and she couldn’t cover the $180 weekly rent.

The rent was due, and there was not enough dough.

Personally speaking, I also know what it’s like to be broke and not have funds to cover rent.

At one time in my twenties, I couldn’t even cover the $280 rent in my small brick duplex.

So, how did both I and the Rock become millionaires many times over?

The Rock is one of, if not the highest paid actor in Hollywood.

But back when he was younger, before all the millions, he started saying “rent’s due” as a personal motivator to hit the gym and workout.

The successful men he knew all built their bodies.

You got my back? . . . As a husband, parent, entrepreneur, author, speaker, running seven businesses, Equity fund manager, social media influencer, part time dick head, reader, & spiritual seeker, yet I still create time. . Working out for me is not about looking good, it’s about reminding myself I have my own back. It’s the same reason I get off the stage & make time for my spiritual development. If I can’t depend on me to have “my back” I@shouldn’t be surprised when friends aren’t there for me. . No matter who you are and how far you get in life, there’s some things you cannot delegate. The body is one of those things, learning is one of those things, spiritual development is one of those things. . . . And if you don’t make time for those things, they will not get done and all the money & success in the world won’t matter. . . One of the things I am most proud of in my life & that makes me most dangerous is once I commit to something, I’m all in. I see it all the way through. I do NOT tinker & I know it’s just a matter of time before I get results.. . . . I’ve said in the past that if your biceps are bigger than your bank account, you’ve got a problem.

The Rock has big guns, but now he’s got an even bigger bank account.

An injury derailed his NFL dream, so after college, he became broke and jobless. On the way to live with his dad, he emptied his pockets and found just seven dollars (hence his company’s name: 7 Bucks Productions).

Whether you have $7 bucks or $700 million, rent is always due.

To pay rent you need cash flow.

I want to help all the young Rocks out there today get their money right.

Maybe you’ve never been evicted, but you’re going to have rent due from now until the end of time.

The Rock didn’t go from homeless to international movie star because he wished it, hoped for it, or dreamed about it.

He put in the work.

Because the rent on success is due every single day.

It’s like a beautiful lawn or garden, no matter how green it gets or beautiful the flowers, you must continue to tend it.

If you quit mowing, edging, trimming, watering, and planting, it’ll fade and deteriorate until it ceases to exist.

This is why your RENT IS DUE TODAY.

The secret to paying your rent—in any area of life (financial, health, relationships) is to get consistent.

Successful people do the same things over and over again.

This is an incredible truth about all successful people.

There is a lady I know who is a highly successful person but I got to know her when she wasn’t so successful.

She was a waitress in La Jolla, CA and she wanted to quit being a waitress and build her career.

As a waitress, people visiting town were always asking her for directions and she went out and built this business based on people asking her questions every day.

She built a map guide for the tourists and sold advertising to the merchants.

She came to me and asked to know how she could know for sure—for SURE—that she would be successful.

  • I told her that she needs to go for it and that she would need to do the same thing over and over and over again.
  • I told her to figure out her presentation and do it over and over, and when it doesn’t work, make the changes and do it over and over again.
  • I told her to wake up at the same time every day to be more productive.

She asked me why that was, and I explained that it would bring consistency and discipline to her life.

When I told her to work out at the same time every day she told me, “No Grant—this is about my business”.

I explained to her here is what you do—wake up and exercise at the same time every day, start calling on clients at the same time every day, end your day at the same time every day, and she’s like, “how does waking up at the same time every day help me?”

Because it gets you consistent, and consistency builds discipline.

Buddha says, “In the confrontation between the stream and the rock, the stream always wins, not through strength but through perseverance.

The water flows over, under, and on the side 24/7/365—it just keeps going and going.

The water is consistent.

The one thing that I see in people that want to be successful is that they go for 2 or 3 days and then they stop.

Consistency builds discipline, and disciplined actions that are done consistently create success.

Quit making it up.

Come up with a consistent, disciplined approach to your life.

Lay your life out this week with some consistency. Start with today. When will you wake up? What do I do next? What do I do when I get to work?

Get consistent and quit making it up!

Successful people don’t change their approach unless it doesn’t work—they only change to change with conditions.

A consistent approach starts with getting consistent in your day-to-day operations.

Come up with an approach and be consistent with it until you’re sure which parts of it don’t work.

Pick any successful person—like someone in a multi-level marketing company and they’ll all say the same thing.

Get a story and tell it over and over and over again—do not change the story. Change the people you tell it to, don’t change the story.

Great leaders are consistent, and people can follow consistency.

If I’m a leader and I’m not consistent nobody wants to follow me because they don’t know where I’ll lead to.

Great athletes are consistent.

If You could duplicate the best golfer’s swing you’d be better at golf.

You don’t need your own swing—you need a consistent swing—because an amateur swing is not consistent.

Those people who are not consistent are left with random outcomes.

You can’t be in control of random outcomes.

In my selling career, I just got highly consistent. I did the same things every day. I still do.

I wake up at the same time each day, I go to the gym at the same time every day, and I eat similar foods in the morning, afternoon, and at night.

When I don’t have consistency I get randomness that I can’t control.

Bring consistency to your life and your career to accelerate success

Do the same things over and over so you don’t have to spend energy on creating what you’re going to do next.

Consistency will make you successful.

The Rock knows this and will vouch for me on this.

If you have just been winging it, my advice to you today is to get on Cardone University and start watching 6 segments per day.

Be consistent with it and get the rest of your life consistent. Over time, you will get your life and finances on track—I promise.

Do it today, because otherwise, you’ll ONLY be left with the consistency of living paycheck to paycheck.

Be Great,

GC

Thank you for this post. Very encouraging, motivating, and revealing as to why I’m not getting the desired results I seek. Such a simple, but difficult to implement (because of my human weaknesses), concept. The is power in simplicity; consistency. Thanks coach
