I am shocked that people continue to sit in front of their TV's and wait for good for the media to tell them that they economy has improved. YOUR ECONOMY IS NOT GOING TO IMPROVE UNTIL YOUR SELLING SKILLS IMPROVE. We will not return to an "easy" economy for many years to come. Economic Advice 1) Quit waiting on economic news. 2) Commit to improving yourself through increasing your sales skills. 3) Make a daily commitment to sales training and sales effectiveness. 4) Quit waiting for opportunities. CREATE OPPORTUNITIES for consumers to buy your products. Your survival depends on it, and you will not do it if you don't know how to sell and close. The reality is that most business in this country doesn't know how to sell their products, make sense of real value, or justify why it's a great time to buy. Companies and even industries have become dependent on seasons, holidays, free credit, and external stimulus. Years of economic bliss, insufficient sales training, lack of sales motivation, sales discipline, and sales persistence has negatively impacted most of us. This applies to every business from automobiles to real estate to consumer goods and anything else you can imagine. If you wait for the economy to improve or jobs to come back or some sort of magical money to drop from the skies you are in for a very painful 4 to 5 years. The most valuable individuals and companies in this economy are those that are able to create and drive revenues. The only way to do that is to learn the skills of selling. No one is a born sales person. Selling is a learned skill like anything else. Your personal economy will not improve until you are sales motivated, sales trained, and loaded with sales training solutions on a daily basis.
